Welcome to the Club ! New Retiree  Ron Homersham Waterous Division  Calgary, Alberta     Sept. 1956 to Dec. 2003   Seen here at his retirement party in December 2003

In the summer of 1956 Ron was a teenager in Edmonton whose hobby was working on cars when his next door neighbour ** who was a manager at Waterous hired him.  During the next 47plus years Ron worked in many different branches and positions as follows:

1956-Sept 19 Hired -  Edmonton Parts Department
1963-Edmonton Parts and Service Sales
1963-Calgary Parts and Service Sales
1964-Red Deer-Resident Allis Chalmers Equipment Salesman
1965-Calgary Parts Manager
1967-Edmonton Equuipment Sales- Disposal of Allis Chalmers Inventory
1967-Edmonton Engine Sales
1975-Calgary Branch Manager
1979-President-Waterous Power Products (Southern Alberta Detroit Diesel Distributor)
1990-Vice-Pres Waterous Detroit Diesel (The 3 Distributorships were combined)
2003-Dec. 31  Retired

** Its a small world: The next door neighbour was Mr. Don Manning the father of the man who was hired in 2003 as President and CEO of Wajax.

Ron and Lois have so many things planned for retirement he probably wont have time to miss Waterous.  They are off to Portugal and Spain in the spring on a golfing vacation and have additional travels in mind.  Seems Ron is also going to be conscripted to be the family handyman for the kids. and he's got grandchildren to spoil so he may not have time to play enough golf to reduce his handicap.
