Welcome to the Club ! New Retiree Leonora Quackenbush Mississauga, Ontario     January 1987- August, 2002

Leonora joined Wajax Mississauga as a sales secretary in January 1987 and very quickly earned the admiration and respect of everyone who had the privilege of working with her.

During her career at Wajax, Leonora good naturedly and in many cases single handedly responded to the (mostly reasonable) needs of the Hyster sales group, never leaving before the last quote was done. 

Leonora took the ten minutes to 5 PM quote requests in her stride and shared in the excitement that the fruits of her efforts generated.

Leonora's efforts earned her promotion to Administrative Assistant to the Central Region Vice President, Gerry Cunningham.  During those exciting times Leonora was called on to assist with the many new projects such as the Elite Service Program and and re-creation of the Crane and Utility Group under Al Brown. In addition there were several acquisitions (Telelect Canada, Timberjack and Ray Gordon Rentals) to deal with and she was always there to assist and support.

In addition to her many regular duties, Leonora was on hand to ensure that the many board room functions were properly catered and that the presentations were accurate and of high quality.  By the way, she also managed the Wajax Bowling League and did most of the travel arrangements  - always without error.
