Ivan joined Wajax Dartmouth in 1977, worked in
parts and service for a short period of six months before beginning his career
as a professional salesman selling products such as Hyster and Blue Giant
forklift trucks, Pitman Crane and Utility products and pioneered many new
products and services for Wajax Industries in the Maritime Provinces.
Among his many accomplishments Ivan was voted "Salesman that I would
least like to sell against" at the Hyster Factory Sales School in
Danville, Illinois.
Prior to joining Wajax, Ivan spent 25 years in the Canadian Air Force after
spending 2 years working in a lumber camp and sawmill.
Ivan has been married to his lovely wife Pat for 46 years. They have 6
children, 5 boys Tim, Tony, Terry, Tommy and Toby and a very talented daughter
Tracy who writes and sings country music. (wonder if Ivan and Pat have a
story behind naming all children starting with T ?)
Ivan will now have more time to enjoy his new hobby - GOLF as well as continuing
to earn a few extra dollars as a professional softball umpire.
The staff arranged a BBQ farewell at the Dartmouth branch where Ivan's
retirement was celebrated with many of his close friends and customers. We
hope to have pictures available here soon.
I'm sure Ivan would be happy to hear from you. Please contact him at
